Silent Seal® Mine Ventilation Sealant is a Two-Component sealant used to create airtight seals on and around stoppings in underground mines for greatly improved ventilation efficiency and reduced operation expenses. Packaged with the user in mind, Silent Seal offers such features as an easy opening box; factory-attached hoses and dispensing unit; handle secured to tank collars and upright cylinders for easier use. With polyisocyanurate formulation for improved performance, Silent Seal expands and seals in seconds and fully cures in one hour. Its bright yellow color allows for easier visibility underground. Silent Seal adheres to coal, slate, brattice, cement, wood and most other substrates.
Silent Seal is also ideal for harsh weather cliamtes were the tempature may be too low for our standard Handi-Foam
There are two distinct formulations of Silent Seal: Silent Seal NA (meets MSHA Standards, Code of Federal Regulations, Title 30, sections 75.333 and ASTM E-162 requirements for North America).
Silent Seal SA (meets CSIR International Mining Standards for smoke and burn tests for South Africa as well as Australian Standards.)
Contains no formaldehyde
